With over ten years of experience in automotive and motorsport power and lighting systems, we at Electronicamotos have done it again. Our HID kits for cars are direct OEM replacement systems. We offer two different OEM replacement kit options. Our standard kit consists of a single HID capsule while our HID2 kit consists of a complete low and high beam system with a total of four capsules. When high beam is used on our HID2 kit, both high and low stay on for a tremendous amount of light that literally engulfs everything in front of the car. These kits are available for most car applications.
HID lights use less power than a halogen bulb but are more than twice as bright. HID lights work by using a typical battery's 12 volt output to power a ballast, which sends a high voltage to the light. This causes a spark inside the bulb to light up a mixture of gases. The HID lamp is not only intensely bright but extremely durable as there is no filament that can burn out due to shock or vibration. Our lighting systems come with full wiring harnesses designed to quickly plug right into the OEM plugs with no modifications required.
HID lighting systems on the market are available in a number of different lamp colors. Because of the way that the human eye works, the optimum color for the light from a bulb is slightly green. To the naked eye, the light is very white and gives a much more natural look to lit areas compared with traditional lights. Systems offering very blue lighting actually are not as bright, because blue light is not sensed by as well by the human eye and does not focus as well as red and green. As lighting is shifted on the color spectrum toward yellow and red as in a halogen lamp, the eye's sensitivity also drops causing things to look dim. Our HID lighting system's 4300K color temperature allow far superior visibility and depth perception. Systems with higher values are bluer while a typical lamp is more yellow, yielding a lower value.
Traditional HID lamps take a few seconds to turn on, which has typically limited their use to low beam only. Electronicamotos HID2 lamps offer low and high beams elements with almost instant switching. Whether choosing a beam angle switching kit or a dual element HID2 kit, night is turned into day.
Electronicamotos lamps are made to the highest standards. Lower quality lamps often change color quite drastically over their lifespan. These lamps will drift to a very blue tint causing gradually worsening lighting conditions. This problem is really bad on lamps that start out in the 6000K range which is already really blue. Electronicamotos lamps are color balanced at 4300K and use high quality materials to keep the color where it should be. Designed to closely match the OEM lighting patterns, these bulbs prevent blinding oncoming traffic in low beam while throwing a huge area of light in high.
Whatever type of driver you are, HID lights are one of those upgrades that have a dramatic effect on your quality of life by reducing stress and eye strain.
