Common Technical Issues: HONDA CM250CBRAND: HONDAMODEL: CM250C YEARS: 82-83 CATEGORY: MOTORCYCLE TECHNICAL ISSUE DETAILS The CB/CM250 range of Honda's has a relatively complicated CDI system that needs a feed from several coils on the stator. The stator therefore is a complicated unit. Battery charging problems problems are usually caused by bad connections, a bad battery or a faulty regulator/rectifier. We recommend using the fault finding chart to find the issue. The battery charging windings on the stator typically are not at fault. Ignition problems are often caused by the ignition coils on the stator. CDI unit failures are known to happen but are not as common as stator failure.
